To My Dear Friend

To my dear friend I whisper and say
I wish you happiness on your birthday
Shall I cross the walls and the guards
To deliver the Magnolias and the cards
Has the door been opened
Has their anger weakened
Who’s singing for you tonight
Will you dance in your White
To whom you whisper tonight and smile
Who’d follow you from the fog to the Nile
Think of me deeply when you sing and dance
You’ll find me near when you go through a trance
How many candles have you burned
Are you about the time concerned
Beautiful as usual and forever will be
Wiser than ever and besides you I’ll always be

Heaven

Do you think of Heaven and what do you see
Do you see me there and how beautiful I’d be
Would you touch me there and hold my hand
Would we run far across the fields and land
Would you swim naked or I’d cover you with leaves
Would we celebrate the days and light the eves
How soft are your lips and, what’s their taste
Would I smell your neck and have my soul graced
We care for the mountains, cliffs and ice caves
Will there be Monet’s and beautiful landscapes
What about the stars and the full moon
Will the wind through the trees play the tune
Do you see the wine in pearl is being served
For so long for us it’s been preserved
What will light the nights and create the days
Will there be shining stars and sun rays
I wonder about the spring and the summer
The sad autumn and the cold gray winter
Think about the waves and the reflection
The falling things and the compass direction
Will we seek enlightenment when all is known
The source of wisdom and the truth have been shown
Would our loved ones there dance around us
Would they listen to our songs and be our chorus
Shall we pray for them to join us
My Aquarius, Capricorn, and Taurus
I call my Cancer, Libra and Capricorn
Yours as well the ones yet to be born
Do you, like me, think of Heaven
What’s up there beyond the Seven
