Who's your Hero

Who’s your hero and who’s the knight
Who does now in your heart shine the light
Who makes you happy, laugh and smile
How many others stood in the aisle
Who sings his love to your heart,
and portrays your beauty in his art
To whom Euterpe of the Muses you now appear
Not your Apollo and in wars Ares with a spear
Whose eyes today make you blush and cry,
Whose words these nights make you dance and fly
Who makes you believe you’ve kissed the Blarney Stone,
and become as ClĂdna sitting on the Land-of-Promise’s throne
Whose arms you hold and to whom you talk,
from Lake Victoria to the Delta as you walk
On whose shoulders you shed your tears
Who will you trust forever with your fears
Who do you ask about hell and heaven and it’s scenery
With whom you become Minerva other than Mercury
Whose soul your soul speak to while you’re asleep
With whom you write poetry and with melody you weep
Who do you watch composing his Requiem before he goes
To whom is your last kiss before on your tombstone he places the rose
Who taught you how to deceive and lie,
hide your old love and his name you deny
It’s too late for forgiveness after you’ve sold your soul,
and in the sins you sank and began to roll

Ugly Face

He looks in the mirror and sees an ugly face
A deformed picture and full of disgrace
Wondering how he became so cold and pale,
and lost all his features and every detail
Why did he stop to dream?
How can he his soul redeem?
What happened to the sturdy boy
and his desire to overpower Troy?
Could he sail the ship to port,
and its cargo safely to a fort?
Who did rip out the artist’s heart
to smash him and his love to Mozart?
Whose wine is his blood today?
Who will be relieved to see him pass away?
What broke him and what was the trammel?
And the straw that broke the back of the camel?
How far has heaven become?
What happened to the angels’ welcome?
How wide are the gates to hell?
How loud is the symmetry bell?

A different Post!

This post was written by my middle son.
It has two parts; Dream I and Dream II.

Dream I
I dream of finishing high school
Get into college and get education
That is the best tool
To fit my imagination
I dream of living my life
With happiness and pride
To impress my family
So that they say that they raised me
I dream that I’ll be a big success
Making money is just a big mess
You forget who you are
Until you look at the star
You wake up and realize
That your spirit must rise
And some day you must die
Your power won’t be the same size
Nothing will be left of you
Not even your skin
Except the soul deep inside of you
What a sin, what a sin
Dream II
When my dream was deferred
I just sat and preferred
That I would just die
But all you see me do is sigh
Hopeless, you sit alone
Thinking about what you have done
Trying to figure out your zone
Thinking about what you have become
Before your spirits were crushed
You could’ve rushed
To save your future and your dreams
But that’s all in the past that didn’t last
Except for a few moments
How did you let it slip out of your hands
When you preferred to be in a band
Instead of studying and working
You chose to be rocking
Now you will regret
How you didn’t set
The rule and the goal for success
